Rockford, through the years

A community shaped by creek, field & railway

On the northern edge of the Palouse, Rockford grew around Rock Creek. Lumber, agriculture, ranching, and the arrival of the railroad in 1889 helped shape the community. Its history reaches further back, into the homelands of the Spokane people.
